ABOUT US
The idea of creating Mocca Technologies started in 2021, at the beginning it was primarily focused on providing a solution to enable operators coordinate their vehicle fleet by tracking and showing in real time their operations in a centralized application. This idea was being develop by Dr. Enric Pastor and Miquel Macias during the previous years and was tested in several environments at a Research Group called Icarus Research Group associated to the UPC.
Then in 2022, the idea for ACCORD emerged, when drone operators and infrastructure managers in Catalonia approached the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) expressing frustration with current coordination inefficiencies.
Led by Dr. Enric Pastor, a team of aeronautical engineers and drone regulation experts developed the ACCORD platform through years of research, stakeholder engagement, and field validation.
Due to these validations MOCCAFleet was also developed in parallel and with every demonstration that has been made drone operators have shown their interest in both platforms.
Both platforms are now ready for real-environment trials, having already been tested with key public infrastructure entities like SEM, Bombers, Mossos d’Esquadra and several private drone operators.
Miquel Macias co-founded Mocca Technologies with a clear mission: to make drone operations simpler, safer, and fully digital. With a background in engineering and a focus on product strategy, he drives the company's growth and ensures both platforms deliver real value to operators and infrastructure managers alike.
Dr. Enric Pastor is a researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and a founding member of the ICARUS Research Group. With over two decades of experience in autonomous aerial systems, he leads the scientific vision behind both MOCCAFleet and ACCORD, bridging academic research with real-world drone operations.
Yeray Martin is part of the core engineering team at Mocca Technologies. With a focus on frontend development and a full-stack mindset, he takes ideas from concept to reality — writing the code that turns plans into products that actually work, look right, and hold up in the real world.
Albert Sánchez is part of the core engineering team at Mocca Technologies. Working across the full stack, he leans towards backend development — building the reliable data pipelines, APIs, and logic that keep both MOCCAFleet and ACCORD running smoothly at every level.
